Effects Of Glass Surface Area To Solution Volume Ratio On Glass Corrosion

The importance of the ratio between glass surface area and solution volume, A/V, in durability studies is discussed. The theoretical justification for incorporating this parameter into corrosion kinetic equations is established and empirically confirmed for a range of A/V values on both bulk and powdered glasses.
