The Effect Of Thermal History On The Behaviour Of Heat Sensitive Glasses Containing Fluorine

A study of heat sensitive glasses has been carried out using compositions containing zinc and fluorine. The results indicate that when silica was substituted for ZnO the devitrification tendency of the glasses decreased independent of of the time in the furnace.
