Effect Of Temperature On The Corrosion Of Refractories In Glass Melts (A Review)

The rate at which a refractory is corroded by a glass melt is the main criterion for the choice of a material in regard to both the service life of the refractory and for revealing the effect of its dissolution products on the quality of the glass. The temperature of the interaction with the melt is the most important factor, determining the refractory corrosion rate.
