Effect Of Glass Composition And Basicity On Reduction Of Metal Ions To The Metallic State In Melts

By using previously established relationships between redox equlibria and optical basicity it is possible to consider equilibria of metal/metal ion couples M2+ze-=M, and to use electrode potential date in aqueous solution to predict equilibria as a function of glass melt basicity and composition.
