Effect Fo Fluorine Associated With Other Minor Batch Constituents On Some Properties Of Commercial Glasses.

Fluorine was introduced in amounts up to 3% in tow types of commercial glasses. It strongly decreased the temperature required to maintain a given viscosity in the range of glass forming temperature lowered the liquids and the devitrification temperature, and diminished the speed of crystallisation in the devitrification zone.
