Ecological Assessment Of Noxious Discharges During Melting Of Lead Crystal

Data are presented on emissions from gas-fired and electric furnaces producing lead crystal glass for hand working in the Soviet Union. The emissions from the gas-fired furnaces were, on average, seven times greater than those from the electric furnaces. A cold-top all-electric furnace for an output of 1.5 tonnes/day has been designed and is recommended for use in factories producing lead crystal.
