Rothstein Fordertechnik has introduced a new conveyor belt made from a special stainless steel alloy for the transport of glasses between the IS machine and lehr. The design, focused exactly on the demands of the glass industry, offers technical and economic advantages. Compared with silent chains the handling, assembly and maintenance of the Rothstein stainless steel belt is very easy. There is no need to make the expensive change to special sprockets and systems. Also, due to a special alloy, the belt is safely driven by magnetic drums. The design minimises contact with the glass, so the cooling down is slower and gentler. Hair line cracks, which can occur with silent chains systems due to fast cool down, are prevented. To solve this problem when you use silent chains, the belt has to be pre-heated which means additional effort and costs. (whole item)
