One important aspect of dynamic workability is the heat balance of the forming machine and how this is influenced by disturbance variables like weather changes and drafts, which lower product quality as well as the pack-to-melt. SiliTec and its partners have developed controlling tools such as CMCS, a control system for stabilising the heat balance of the glass forming machine. This paper looks at these new tools.
