Durobor Regains Lost Markets

Belgian glassware maker Durobor posted net turnover of EUR 39.3M for 2005, a better-than-expected result, as it managed to win back markets lost for years, CEO and owner Michel Durant said on 3 January 2006. In 2005, Durobor won an order for one million glasses from French cognac producer Hennessy France and tripled its revenue from the partnership with German glassware maker Rastal, Durant added. The company has also strengthened its cooperation with Belgian brewer InBev. Durobor is aiming for a turnover of EUR 41M for 2006. The Walloon region sold 51% of the company to Durant on 7 September 2005. Durant plans to buy out the remaining 49% of Durobor owned by the state by the end of March 2006.
