[Dubai] New Float Plant

Dubai Investments plans a 600/tpd float glass plant near the city of Dubai in the UAE. Khalid bin Kalban, MD and CE of Dubai Investments said, "Setting up the float glass unit is a logical vertical integration strategy for us in the glass value chain." The company already owns glass processor, Emirates Glass. Easy access to competitively priced electricity and gas make the region a low-cost producer of float glass.
