Dubai Investment subsidiary Emirates Glass is to supply the Concourse 2 project, currently being built as part of the expansion of Dubai Int Airport. "We have been contracted by the main contractors acting on behalf of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority to supply 56,000 sq/m high performance glass to the Concourse 2 project at Dubai International Airport. It is probably one of the most challenging glazing tasks in the world today, considering the shape of the complex structure & glass specifications." said Mr. J Dowling, GM of Emirates Glass. Concourse 2 is part of Dubai Civil Aviation's USD 2.5BN Phase-2 of the Airport expansion project. The project also includes construction of Terminal 3, Concourse 3 & a cargo terminal. Emirates will begin deliveries in autumn/05 & the project is expected to be completed by mid-summer/06.
