Drinks In Plastic

Three night-clubs in Glasgow have agreed to sell drinks in plastic instead of glass following a campaign by the city council based on fears that the glass could be used as a weapon. Takeaway food shops in the city have been banned from supplying drinks in glass. Elsewhere, airlines are coming under pressure to stop supplying duty free drinks in glass bottles, because of fears they could be used as weapons by hijackers. (whole item)
