Does Lubrication Improve The Forming Process?

The TNO Glass Group has developed a laboratory installation that is able to simulate the glass pressing process on a small scale. By better understanding of the corrosion mechanisms, a better selection of process settings, tool materials, material combinations and application techniques can be made to reduce wear, extend lifetime of the forming tools and reduce lubrication.
