Dissolution Kinetics Of Some Industrial Glasses By Sodium Hydroxide Solution

Glass is among the most inert of common substances used to package food products and many medicines. However, scientists recognise that glass has measurable chemical reactivity when in contact with aqueous solutions of fluids which differ with various controlling factors. In this paper the corrosion behaviour of some chosen industrial glasses of various commercial applications has been studied. This work aims to evaluate the two tests adopted, namely, the static and solution exchange method.
