Glass packaging accounts for 60% of all glass production in the UK and in comparison with the rest of Europe, remains relatively static. New research values the UK market at around £622.7M and the short-term prospects are for modest growth, albeit at marginal levels. In a mature market, brand owners need to make their products stand out and glass has the class to do just that, while lightweight offerings have further improved its environmental status.
