A Different Angle On Design

Dartington Crystal has appointed a new design manager who is aiming to drive the company in new directions. Simon Moore has been involved with glass design and manufacturing for 22 years and has taught at the Royal College of Art and exhibited work at the Victoria and Albert Museum, The Barbican and the Design Centre in London. He plans to push the Dartington collection further by creating new products and is aware that a much younger market is open to Dartington's "lifestyle" ideas. He is also planning to re-evaluate the company's finishes and processes and a number of new designers will be employed.
