Diamond In The Refractory Industry

Accuracy to size maintaining the strictest tolerances is essential in the production of bricks used in the refractory industry to line melting furnaces. A new milling centre allows for fully automatic machining of these bricks, coupled with optimum throughput. As the author describes, because of the great abrasivity of these materials, glass furnace bricks can only be machined economically using diamond-impregnated milling rollers.
