Determination Of The Nucleation Rate Curve For Lead Titanate Glass By Differential Thermal Analysis

Nucleation and crystallisation of a quarternary glass system for lead titanate glass ceramics were investigated using a DTA (differential thermal analysis) method with variation of nucleation temperature and crystal growth times. Glass samples containing 60 mol% of PbO-TiO2 were prepared from melts by the conventional quenching method in a cylindrical brass mould.
