Determination Of Fluoride In Air And Stack Gas Samples By Use Of An Ion Specific Electrode

An analytical procedure for the determination of water-soluble fluoride in air and stack gas samples using a speific-ion electrode is described. Gaseous and particulate fluoride in ambient air are collected by filtration and chemisorption on membrane filters impregnated with sodium formate. Data pertaining to the collection efficiency and the dissolution of collected fluorides from ambient air samples are presented.
