Dependence Of Ionic Mobilities In Mixed Cation Glasses On The Nature Of The Mobile Cations

Ionic mobilities in glasses depend not only on the concentrations but also on the nature of mobile ions. We consider mixed alkali and mixed alkali-alkaline earth oxide glasses where the mobilities of the dissimilar mobile ions differ considerably. For given concentrations of alkali oxides and alkaline earth oxides the dependence of ionic mobilities on the nature of the ions are analysed.
