Density And Surface Tension Of Glass Melts As A Function Of Composition At 1400 Deg C

The density and surface tension of sodium, potassium and soda lime glass melts were measured at 1400 deg C using the sessile drop method. The effects of volatilization on these properties were studied, since volatilization changes the composition of the melts.
