Decc Promoting Solar Pv At Home And Overseas

DECC is working closely with the solar PV industry to increase the deployment of solar PV across the UK and to help industry take advantage of the increasing number of overseas opportunities. As part of this strategy DECC is working with the Solar Trade Association to run a series of sector-led roadshows across the country in February. Solar PV is an affordable and effective source of renewable energy that is suitable for use across the country, not just the South West of England. Solar PV increased its capacity by 466% between June 2011 and June 2012. Last year the annual output from a solar PV system in Durham was similar to that of a comparable system in the South West.
