The 2005 Society of Glass Technology annual conference is being held on 7-10 September 2005 at the University of Sheffield in a region that is home to the headquarters of British Glass, Society of Glass Technology and at the University itself, the Centre of Glass Research. This year's conference will include the New Researchers Forum on Glass. The forum provides the opportunity for people who have been working with glass materials for a short time to meet industry workers and academics. New researchers can present a poster or talk about their research, complete or not. The History and Heritage of Glass Group, a special interest group of the Society of Glass Technology, is hosting a study day on September 10 at the University.
