The British Glass Annual Health and Safety conference will be held on Thursday 11 November this year at British Glass in Sheffield. The theme of the event will be "Managing safety equals managing costs - a new challenge for the new millennium." Nick New, a principal inspector in the UK HSE Operations Unit will present the keynote speech of the morning session which will also include an update on current procedures in ill health litigation andpreventing ill health - vibration white finger. Graham Mackenzie, chairman of the British Glass Health & Safety Committee will begin the afternoon session with a short introduction on practical risk assessment.
