Dartington Crystal has been licensed to produce official millennium products, according to a company press release. The firm is one of the first companies, and the only glassware producer, to be licensed by the New Millennium Experience Company (NMEC). Under the agreement, the company's crystal will be available as a Millennium Experience branded range from retailers on an international basis. "The criteria for selecting products to carry the Millennium Experience brand is that they represent the very best of British design and manufacturing excellence," said Edward Catchpole, design and development director of NMEC. Eric Dancer, the MD of Dartington commented, "We are very proud that crystal made by our craftsmen will be sold under the Millennium Experience name, and especially that we are one of the first companies to be licensed".
