Czech Traditions In Glass Manufacturing And Designing

The traditions of glass making in Bohemia go back at least eleven centuries. Archaeological research into artisan centres of the Great Moravian Empire, the first state formation of the Slavs in Central Europe, has revealed foundations of glass furnaces dating back as far as the 9th century. This paper discusses the changes and development of glass manufacturing and designing over through the ages.
