Cuprous-Cupric Equilibrium In Soda-Lime-Silica Glasses Melted In Air

Soda-lime glasses with different lime contents and small additions of copper oxide were melted and used to show that the equilibrium with air is greatly accelerated by stirring. The conditions needed to make a series of melts brought to equilibium with air were also determined.
