Cullet Saves Fibre Production Costs

Glass, virgin or recycled, is essential for the production of mineral glass insulation products. The benefits of using increased quantities of cullet within the production process are manifold. Isowool mineral glass insulation from British Gypsum-Isover (BGI) is now being produced using 70% recycled material. The company has recently invested £500,000 in new technology for its Runcorn plant enabling higher volumes of cullet, in the form of plate glass, to be used in the production of its acoustic and thermal insulation products.
