Cullet Preheating: Past, Present And Future

Cullet preheating technology goes back decades. Sorg installed its first units at Wiegand Glass in 1987. Although proven technology, cullet preheating has not yet been adopted widely. However, at a time with high cullet availability, in this paper the authors ask why a technology that recovers waste heat and reduces energy consumption is still sometimes ignored.
