Crystal Arc Sets Up Glass Furniture Subsidiary

Dubai-based Crystal Arc has set up Creative Glass, a US$ 1.5M subsidiary which is equipped with the Middle East's largest furnace for glass bending and fusing. Creative Glass is looking at a turnover of US$3M in the first year of operations, said Mustansir Saifuddin, MD of Crystal Arc. "The construction boom in the UAE and the GCC region, complemented by the rising demand for glass furniture, has prompted Crystal ARc to enter into this exciting and promising line of business," said Saifuddin. "More importantly, we have imported highly advanced technology that will make us the first in the region to create intricate and contemporary designs in glass furniture," he added. The plant is equipped with advanced Spanish technology. It can carry out jobs involving bending, fusing, stained glass, sandblasting and acid etching.
