Although cork manufacturers are facing the problems of overproduction, the line of communication between corkers and bottlers is still open. This is specially so in the wine industry where production reaches 20M bottles/year. Together they have created the International Code of Good Practice in Corking which is to be incorporated to the existing standard procedures of the bottling industry.
