Conveyor Systems Speed Up Bottle Production

Quinn Glass has recently installed 8 stainless steel conveyor systems from Dawson at its container plant at Co , Northern Ireland. Representing a major contract worth around £2m, the Dawson conveyor s operate over eight separate production lines that transport newly-formed glass bottles from the annealing lehr, where they are progressively cooled to prevent stress fractures, to the palletising operation at the end of the manufacturing process. Each conveyor system is approximately 80m in length, and has been tailor-made by Dawson to meet the exact requirements of Quinn Glass.
