Conventions For U-Value Calcualtions - 2006 Edition

This publication, from BRE (Building Research Establishment) gives details of calculation methods for the determination of U-values of building elements. The calculations are based on standards that were developed in CEN and the ISO, and published as British Standards, are methods appropriate for demonstrating compliance with building regulations, namely Part L of the Building Regulations. This publication provides guidance on the use of the calculation methods by: indicating the method/s of calculation that are appropriate for different construction elements (including glass); providing additional information about using the methods; and providing data relevant to typical UK constructions.
