Controls In Modern Glass Manufacturing

The container glass industry has to reduce energy consumption and significantly improve the environmental impact of its plants while keeping high levels of production. This paper looks at the main aspects of furnace design and controls that need to be developed to optimize the container process, from batch and cullet feeding to the melting furnace up to the forming section.
