Controlling Nox Emissions In The Glass Industry Using The Pilkington 3R Process

Numerous NOx reduction techniques have been tried in the glass industry. Over recent years Pilkington has developed the 3R process and has during that time gained operational experience not only on float furnaces but also on a variety of different glass making furnace types. Results have demonstrated that the process increases production cost by only 1% but is capable of reducing NOx emissions by over 80%.
