The Control Of Waste Gas And Air Flows Through A Regenerative System On A Cross-Fired Glass Tank Furnace

This paper concerns the design of a regenerator and flue system for a multi-port cross-fired furnace that provides a greater control of the combustion condition at each port and also gives an improved overall utilisation of the regenerator packing. It is hoped that this work will provide the basis for a greater understanding of regenerator operation on this type of furnace.
