Control Elements For Container Forming

This paper describes new control systems which have been developed and which will provide a sound basis for future improvements in the control of the glass container forming process. These systems have been developed in such a way that they will be able to accommodate changes and improvements in electronic technology. As improvements are made, they will be incorporated into these systems in such a way that the interfaces will remain the same and the user will be unaware that anything has changed. The ability of the systems to incorporate improvement will help protect the investment in the equipment. This design concept will allow Emhart Glass to concentrate more on creating the tools that will allow process improvement.
