Saint-Gobain SEFPRO is introducing several new products for container glass furnaces. The ER 2001 SLX is an AZS electrofused material for superstructures which combines the properties of alkali vapour and carry-over corrosion resistance to eliminate exudation in the vitreous phase. HPAL is a high alumina bonded material for feeder channels which, because of its corrosion resistance and blistering behaviour, can now be used for the production of high quality white glass. The company is also introducing 3 new sintered materials for expendables. ZA 33 LB aims to eliminate start-up losses due to transitory seeding after changing plungers on a line, whilst ZA 33 HR improves the thermal shock resistance of expendables and has a longer life, du to better corrosion resistance than the standard 333. BPMA is a zirconia free product for orifice rings.
