Container Glass In The Gulf

During the past two years the glass industry in the Gulf has experienced a significant upsurge. New projects have been established in addition to the modernisation of some of the existing plants in the Gulf area. These actions can be attributed to the high business returns that were enjoyed by the glass companies during the period prior to 1997, and also to the lack of competition from other packaging materials.
