Consumers Sklo Zoria - Launch Of Container Glass Factory

Consumers Sklo Zoria, Ukraine, began production from its UAH 150M No. 3 glass container workshop on 7 November 2006. Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko attended the opening ceremony. Capacity of the new site is around 350/tpd. Output value is expected to be around UAH 200M/pa. For the first 9m of 2006, output from Consumers Sklo Zoria reached UAH 167.2M in comparable prices, 30% up on the same period 2005. In August 2005, the Ukraine Anti-monopoly Committee authorised Germany's Saint-Gobain Oberland AG to acquire over 50% of the shares in Consumers Sklo Zoria, a closed joint-stock company.
