Conductive Paints Made From Nickel-Plated Glass Microspheres

Conductive dyes contain conductive fillers in addition, such as carbon black, graphite, industrial carbon, metal powders or plated particles. It was investigated whether it is possible to develop conductive dyes based on nickel coated glass microspheres that can be deposited on different surfaces. It was found that in modifying the microsphere surfaces by N-oxide-Cl-alkyldimethylamine, better wetting of solid particles could be achieved in the aqueous emulsion based on acrylic latex. These dyes can be used, for example, to protect persons and devices from electromagnetic radiation.
