Conditions Of Glassification Or Vitrification - Part 1

This article takes a historic look at the vitrificaiton process which was propounded around 90 years ago but is still valid and acts as a role model when discussing issues such as structure and properties. Part I of this paper deals with the Goldschmidt criteria and then some important points on the Zachariasen rule of glass formation. Part II takes a closer look at Zachariasen rule and can be found in the same journal on pages 34-36
