Compositional And Optical Characterisation Of Ion-Implanted Glasses For Optoelectronics

Samples of heavy metal fluoride glasses and fused silica were subjected to argon and nitrogen irradiations at different energies and doses. Modifications induced were characterised by nuclear microanalysis, electron spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, scanning electron microscopy and optical techniques.
