Composition And Structure Of The Intermediate Layer On The Boundary Between Metal And Protective Coating

One of the most advanced trends in the technology of hot-metal working is the use of protective working coatings (ZTP) used as a temporary treatment and capable of flowing down the high-temperature gas corrosion, and reducing loss of metal due to scaling. Previously, properties in the metal-coating system which influence the effectiveness of the coating were studied. This paper concentrates on the self-flaking mechanism, and attempts to study the rules and conditions for self-flaking of protective temporary coatings.
