On The Complete Analysis Of Alkali Lime-Silicate Glasses And Raw Materials For Glass By Means Of Atomic Absorption

Various methods are described which allow silicate samples to be dissolved without losses of the components determined occurring during the solution. In addition to the components, which can be determined by routine analysis at present, it is now possible to determine higher concentrations of SiO2 and Al2O3 in the test solution. The determination of silica however involves major errors. The solution under pressure using hydrofluoric acid is described in detail.
