Comparitive Study Of Vibrational Characteristics Of Fluorozirconate And Fluorohafnate

The vibration characteristics of fluorohafnate glasses have been determined from ir reflectivity and Raman scattering. Fluorohafnate-based glasses possess lower ir oscillator strengths than fluorozirconates glasses and their fundamental absorption peaks are shifted to a lower frequency. The dominant Raman peaks, however, are nearly identical for both glasses.
