When Ardagh plc acquired Rockware Glass at the end of 1998, it quickly reaffirmed the planned investment programme. In 2000, Rockware was therefore able to invest in excess of £30m to upgrade furnaces and install completely new production lines at its Knottingley and Portland facilities. The company has also unveiled a state-of-the-art cullet recycling centre, a £7.5m warehouse complex at its Wheatley plant and a totally refurbished design centre.
