Coloured Cullet: From Waste To Resource

While most clear glass cullet is recycled, a substantial proportion of coloured glass cullet, which in Sweden comes in large amounts from its art glass and tableware industries, remains unsorted every year. This article examines a recent project, initiated by Swedish Glass Research Institute Glafo, together with 10 Swedish art glass and tableware glassworks with the aim to develop methods for recycling 75% of the cullet that is sent to landfill (around 950/tpa).
