Christmas Ornaments From Lauscha

Christmas and the Christmas tree are part of most people's family tradition. The "tree" in fact, has now become more of a commercial activity, with different ways and themes to dress it, rather than a symbol of the period itself. For many decades, however, craftsmen have looked into ways of creating beautiful objects to decorate these trees and one small town in Germany is the most famous in the world for its glass Christmas ornaments, Lauscha. This article looks at glassware produced by this company, whose origins date way back to 1597.
