Zhangzhou Qibin Glass Co., Ltd. (Qibin Glass) started operating its float glass production line in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, Feb/09. The production line is able to melt 900/tpd for products widely used in construction, furniture, automobiles & optical instruments. With a total investment of CNY 3.72BN, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of CNY 10BN when in full operation. Qibin Glass, which invested CNY 1BN in the project in 2008, plans to invest an additional CNY 1.5BN in 2009 to set up 4 supporting projects around the existing plant, making the project the biggest high-end glass production base in south China. Qibin Glass will expand its sales network to broaden its presence at home & abroad, part of its efforts to ride out the continuing global financial crisis.
